ArtCraft Download — Install All 13 Apps the Right Way
ArtCraft is a suite of thirteen free, open-source creative apps built in Rust. Two ways to get them: the Launcher (installs everything, keeps it updated) or per-app installers. This page covers both, for every platform, plus the fixes for the errors people actually hit.
Always download from the official site (getartcraft.com) or the official GitHub organization. Mirror sites and "free download" aggregators sometimes repackage installers — that's the one real safety rule with any open-source app.
Option 1 (recommended): the ArtCraft Launcher
The Launcher is the official installer-and-updater for the whole suite. Install it once and it can install every Crafting App and keep them all current — no manual update chasing across thirteen apps. The current release is v0.3.2, published on the project's GitHub releases page.
- Open the Launcher v0.3.2 release page and pick your platform's build.
- Install it like any desktop app (instructions per platform below).
- Open the Launcher, tick the apps you want, install. Updates arrive through the same tool.
Why the Launcher beats manual installs: most of the suite is in early alpha or in active development, which means frequent releases. The Launcher is the only sane way to stay current if you use more than one app.
The 13 apps you're downloading
Every app is a native Rust build (no Electron), works locally on your own files with no cloud round-trip, and also compiles to WebAssembly to run in a browser tab at the official web app.

Each app has its own page with per-platform installers at getartcraft.com/apps — handy when you want exactly one tool and nothing else.
Per-platform install, step by step
macOS
With the Launcher: download the Launcher build for macOS, open the disk image, drag to Applications, launch.
Per app: each app's page offers a macOS installer — same drag-to-Applications flow.
Gatekeeper note (important): alpha-stage apps aren't signed with an Apple Developer certificate, so the first launch may be blocked. Right-click the app → Open → Open, or allow it under System Settings → Privacy & Security. That's normal for open-source builds, not a sign of anything wrong.
Windows
With the Launcher: run the Launcher installer and accept the UAC prompt when Windows asks.
Per app: each app's page offers a Windows installer — run it, next-next-finish.
SmartScreen note: unsigned open-source builds can trigger "Windows protected your PC". Click More info → Run anyway after you've confirmed the download came from the official source.
Linux
With the Launcher: grab the Linux build from the release page and install per the release notes.
Per app: AppImage or per-distribution packages are offered on each app's release assets — chmod +x the AppImage and run.
All three routes end in the same place: native binaries, your files, your machine.
Troubleshooting the common failures
- "App is damaged and can't be opened" (macOS): quarantine attribute on an unsigned build. Right-click → Open; if it persists,
xattr -cr /Applications/AppName.appin Terminal clears it. - Launcher won't update an app: alpha releases move fast — restart the Launcher so it re-checks the release channel; if an app is mid-migration, the previous version keeps working until the next drop.
- Missing installer for my platform: check the specific app's page — a couple of apps ship platform installers progressively; the browser build (WebAssembly) always works as a stopgap.
- Antivirus flags the download: heuristic flagging of unsigned Rust binaries. Verify you're on the official GitHub organization, then allow it — the source is public if you want to build it yourself.
- Uninstalling: macOS — delete from Applications; Windows — Settings → Apps; Linux — remove the AppImage/package, or let the Launcher remove apps it installed. No license servers, no deactivation steps — it's yours.
